I was introduced to WEV as a volunteer to teach about business insurance to the Spanish students.  Soon thereafter, I had the honor of attending the graduation.  The people I met in the class had grown inches in posture and miles in esteem from the third week of class to graduation.  It was an amazing development to witness first-hand. The students inspired me to open Allison Commercial Insurance Agency, Inc. in September of 2005.  WEV gave me the strength to overcome that fear and pursue my own dream. 

I stay involved with WEV because this organization gives people that want independence, strength and the ability to earn their own way, the tools to do so.  I only think of what my own childhood could have been like if my own mom would have had WEV as a resource.  I stay involved with WEV for my daughters, the women we still need to reach and the economic sustainability of our community.
