As a WEV Board Member and Fundraising Committee Co-Chair, I support WEV through fundraising and building awareness in the community. Through the intensive 14-week Self-Employment Training program, women of all backgrounds are given the tools to start their own business.  The cost of this program is $2500 per client; 97% are on a full or partial scholarship as many of the women cannot afford this program on their own and require assistance from generous donors. In addition, WEV supports women through providing capital loans, with interest, for up to 5 years - again this money comes from the local community.  I strongly encourage friends of WEV to help inspire women or the next generation of entrepreneurs through donations.
